THE DAMN SIRENS

Our apartment living in Rome was a once in a life time opportunity, it felt like we were able to go home after a long day and sit and relax somewhere that looked more like a cozy home rather than a temporary hotel room. Sometimes this relaxation was difficult though after a long, busy, and loud day, those of us who were living on Viccolo Cellini didn't get to go home to a quiet apartment. We were right next to an extremely busy road and staying just about right in the center of Rome a little less than a mile away from the Vatican, and every night we were haunted by the terrible sound of Italian sirens. I have never despised a noise so much, it was impossible to get used to, but some nights I found ways to sleep through it. Just have a listen
